Everything that we experience in life is reflected in our bodies. Our emotions and thoughts are directly connected to our body parts and the history of these experiences shape and define our posture and form. We all have unconscious physical muscular patterns in our bodies, which are the representation of unresolved emotional experiences. By connecting to these patterns consciously through movement, and then learning to complete the natural emotional response, we can release those unconscious patterns in our bodies.

Anatomy of Emotion is a 5-day 5Rhythms® Heartbeat + Waves investigation where we will explore these emotional landscapes with kindness, curiosity and compassion. We hope you will join us!

In Heartbeat, we explore our emotions as energy, as power, as part of being human. Old feelings that have been locked in our limbs or caged in our chest begin to shake loose. We get comfortable with feelings, neither hanging onto them nor pushing them away.

Prerequisite
15 hours of Waves classes or a weekend workshop with a certified and accredited 5Rhythms® teacher

This workshop will count as 5 days Heartbeat and 1 day Waves towards your Teacher Training prerequisites.

Cancellation Policy
A $75 CAD admin fee will be charged if you cancel after submitting your registration form. If you have made payment and cancel up to 3 weeks prior to the workshop (August 13), you will receive a full refund minus the $75 CAD admin fee. If cancelling 2-3 weeks before the workshop (Aug.14-Aug.20), you will receive a full refund minus a $185 CAD processing fee. If cancelling 1-2 weeks prior to the workshop (Aug.21-Aug.27), you will receive a full refund minus a 50% ($340 CAD) processing fee. Refund for cancellation WITHIN 1 week of the workshop (Aug.28 or later) is dependent on participant replacement. IF a replacement is found for you, you will receive a full refund minus a $275 CAD administration fee. No refund will be issued if a replacement is not found or if a participant does not show up at the workshop without communicating. Thank you.

P.S. The fabulous Toronto International Film Festival, tiff, is running Sept.5-15, 2019. If you’re traveling to T.O. for the workshop you may wish to consider staying on a bit to catch a few films. Either way, it’s advisable to plan your travel and accommodation as soon as possible, as the city will be hopping at that time!
