Deep Waves is a monthly Saturday high-spirited dancing dive into the medicine of the 5Rhythms. We gather for an evening of music, movement, embodied ceremony, and community connection.
Danced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms is a dynamic freestyle movement practice. Dancing Wave upon Wave of the 5Rhythms, we practice the art of being fully alive in the present moment, to all that moves through us. Come dive into your own deep dance, with a tribe of other dancing seekers of the sacred. Come reSource, come release, come ride the Wave!
All movement experience is welcome. Pre-registration is required.
Sat Apr 9 & 30, 2022 – Deep Waves 5Rhythms with Layah
7 – 7:20pm – Arrival and Covid protocols
7:30-9:30pm – Class
Please note: Building doors will lock at 7:35pm.
Payments above $35 are welcome. The extra funds will go towards off-setting registrations from dancers in financial need. If you would like to attend but $20 is prohibitive for you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a possible partial scholarship or work exchange.
REFUND POLICY: If you must cancel your attendance due to testing positive for Covid, you will be offered a full refund minus a $5 admin fee. If you find you are unable to attend class for other reasons, you have two options. You may donate your class tuition to the scholarship fund, or if we have reached capacity, a partial refund may be available minus a $5 admin fee, if your spot can be filled, up until 3 days prior to class. No refunds will be available if we have not reached capacity, or after 3 days prior to class.
In accordance with our province’s and our venue’s shifting requirements, as of March 2022, this indoor class is now open to all dancers regardless of Covid vaccination status, provided all participants agree to observe the protocols below.
As of March 1, the province no longer has indoor gathering limits. We will be adjusting our capacity limits more gradually this Spring. Our Apr 9 Deep Waves class will be limited to 30 maximum on the dance floor including teacher and crew. Registration will be open until 11am on the day of the class or until we reach capacity, at which point a wait list will be started.
OUR RISK MITIGATION MEASURES:
Rapid antigen testing at the door
Masks at all times
Windows open in the studio
Contact tracing (name and phone number of every participant)
Outside doors get locked after all participants are in the building
Rapid antigen tests will be provided to you at the door when you arrive. You will be instructed how to self-administer the test by swabbing your throat and nostrils. Test results are available in 15 minutes. (Perhaps a pre-dance quiet meditation time as we wait for our results? 🙂
Please arrive between 7-7:20pm to do your antigen test before class.
While no layer of protection is perfect, the above measures work better together than they do alone. If you choose to attend this indoor class, you acknowledge that though we are taking precautions, there is still a risk of contracting Covid as a result of attending, and you are assuming full responsibility for your choice to attend, and any illnesses or injuries that may result.
