Danced by tens of thousands worldwide, 5Rhythms is a dynamic freestyle movement practice. Dancing Wave upon Wave of the 5Rhythms, we practice the art of being fully alive in the present moment, to all that moves through us. Come dive into your own deep dance, with a tribe of other dancing seekers of the sacred. Come reSource, come release, come ride the Wave!

Roncesvalles United Church
240 Roncesvalles Ave (please use side entrance through the parking lot)
Toronto, ON, M6R 1L3
*This is a wheelchair accessible venue*
The church has specific guidelines for our use of their space:
Capacity: 25 people max in the room (including teacher and crew)
Masks at all times
Proof of vaccination required
Contact tracing (name and phone number of every participant)
Outside doors get locked after all participants are in the building
People are in different places and have different comfort levels regarding sharing space. The results of Layah’s early Fall mailing list survey showed that a significant percentage of participants strongly preferred to have the added layer of protection of pre-class rapid antigen tests, and the majority felt fine about participating in this layer of risk mitigation.
So, at this time, it will also be mandatory to take a rapid antigen test prior to entering the studio. These tests will be provided to you at the door when you arrive. They are a shallow nasal swab test that you will be instructed how to self-administer. Test results are available in 10-15 minutes. (Perhaps a pre-dance quiet meditation time as we wait for our results? 🙂
Please arrive between 7 – 7:20pm to do your antigen test before class.
While no layer of protection is perfect, all of the above measures work better together than they do alone. If you choose to attend this indoor class, you acknowledge that though we are taking many precautions, there is still a risk of contracting Covid as a result of attending, and you are assuming full responsibility for your choice to attend, and any illnesses or injuries that may result.
As case numbers drop in Ontario we anticipate being able to drop the antigen testing from our protocols, and eventually our other safety precautions as well, as our province, and our venue allow us to.
Layah is a healing artist ~ a teacher, dancer, and musician. Layah first fell for 5Rhythms in her late teens and for the last 20+ years has steeped herself in movement meditation practice. Passionate about offering people sacred space to experience motion as medicine, Layah has facilitated expressive movement since 2003 for all ages on all kinds of dance floors: classes, gyms, offices, barns, fields, and studios, including at Toronto’s conscious dance hubs The Move, and Ecstatic Dance Toronto. Her transformational journeys focus on embodiment, and broadening our physical, expressive vocabulary as a gateway to creativity and healing. Layah is a member of the International Conscious Movement Teachers Association, and a certified 5Rhythms teacher accredited with the 5Rhythms Teachers Association.
