In the three years since we began this annual 5Rhythms® Benefit Dance we have raised thousands of dollars to support various causes that touch our hearts, including the Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), through the Native Women’s Association of Canada, Syrian Refugee families arriving in Canada, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline, as well as our own Toronto Moving Meditation Scholarship Fund.
Each year, we also open our Baskets of Warmth to your generous donations of new or gently used articles of clothing (warm socks, hats, sweaters, whatever you may have to offer). These are taken to the Dixon Hall Neighbourhood Services, Out of the Cold Program, to help those in need on our city streets during the cold winter months.
In 2018, we’ll again be collecting for our Baskets of Warmth and will soon be selecting the beneficiary!
In the meantime, be sure to mark your calendars!
