About the Workshop, From Ariel:
What you’ll learn in this workshop:
Gabrielle Roth gifted us with the 5Rhythms practice, which maps How Energy Moves from
Flowing ~ Staccato ~ Chaos ~ Lyrical ~ Stillness
Each rhythm represents a gateway to a state of being & consciousness.
Each rhythm holds a mirror to a certain shadow aspect and each rhythm relates to all the other rhythms.
In my own life, I’ve learned that everything is energy and in the field of exchanging energies, there’s a great possibility for misunderstandings and unnecessary chaos.
In this workshop you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your home rhythm, how you embody it, and how it influences the lens through which you see the world. By embodying your home rhythm – and all of the rhythms – you’ll learn to recognize rhythms in others, meet people where they are, and respond with greater compassion and awareness.
No previous movement experience is required in order to participate in this workshop.

“Life sometimes happens in between the lines. Goals may change when you least expect it. Every moment is magical and grace is everywhere; it’s up to us to keep the channels open so we can truly listen, partake and live life to its fullest. In our strive for health, happiness, peace, contentment and unity, we need a practice to keep us grounded and focused on our goals yet flexible to the different rhythms of life. When we let that practice become our art, and plant the right intention, we become a moving prayer.
My intention through my teaching is to offer a movement practice that creates the space and clarity needed to not only promote health, strength, and wellness, but to help you build the bridge between your body and spirit.”
Ariel started practicing 5Rhythms in 2002 and right from the very first class, he knew that Gabrielle Roth’s body of work would become a huge part of his path. Ariel graduated from the 5Rhythms Teacher Training in 2016, and was privileged to be mentored by Amber Ryan. He has been teaching waves classes in NYC ever since. Ariel is incredibly grateful to be part of a lineage that offers this body of work and healing.
Ariel is also a yoga/movement teacher (2003), shiatsu practitioner (2005), and a FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) Mobility Specialist, a method based in science that trains mobility and joint control.
